In this piece I emphasized one girl's ear to illustrate her listening to the other while shaping the words "all day" as sound waves to give the impression that she could indeed listen to her all day.
You're fire

In "Fire," I focused on the layering of the subject's personality and how one may hide their true character within. While, deep down the subject is very bold and fiery, she is subdued in her outer appearance or actions.

In the given artwork, I used bright colors such as yellow and white as a strict contrast to the overall black background. The yellow illustrations symbolize the light filling the room and the white shape as well as the light bulb illustrate how she is indeed the source of this light.

In this supposed movie poster, a collage was created with a multitude of movie elements including characters, settings, etc. I wanted the collage to be as "busy" as possible without it being overwhelming in order to develop a sense of complexity within the subject's life and how it may appear more appealing than it truly is.

Through this piece, I aimed to illustrate a carefree atmosphere through pastel colors and fluid lines. This gives the impression that the subject is very naturally uplifting to others and it does not necessarily take too much effort to support them.

In this piece, the subject is literally compared to an animal which in some cases may have a negative connotation. However, the bright colors and party like elements communicate that this person is a joy to be around and that they are more than just someone who likes to party.

This work was created around a magazine advertisement to clearly represent the appeal of this specific quality. The elements of eyes and even bubbles were added to give more meaning to this piece by directly comparing perspective to a refreshing bottle of water.

Here, I created what seems like a puzzle of women who don't quite belong. This gives the impression that each individual is uniquely different and could never be replaced by another. This is even further illustrated through the intentional background with repetitive patterns linking back to one woman's rare markings across her nose. These markings are then interrupted with the color gold to communicate wealth and value within the piece.

Through abstract portraiture, this piece represents the color and joy that one may radiate all while still showing minor imperfections. This gives the impression that although they may be perceived as "unreal," they are in fact human. And even if they give off the impression of being perfect, everyone has individual flaws that make them beautiful.
You are pure poetry

When I created this work, I began by creating an original blackout poem that establishes the meaning of the work itself. I then directly compared the woman to the poem by layering her body at the top and continuing her lines through the poem, connecting her form to the poetry itself.
